01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Adam is a solid/versatile 2-way prospect (3B/RHP) who can swing the bat. Offensively, this righty displays an athletic setup with active/loose hands to load. He whips the barrel to and through the zone with + speed, connecting and hitting hard line-drives (exit velo = 88 mph). At 3B, he shows active prep and works around into a square fielding position. He tracks GB's into a soft mitt, gathers well and fires accurate throws across the diamond. Adam also has the ability to get onto the mound and compete. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and drives downhill/in-line toward the dish. FB cracks the mitt at 79 mph as he works to keep it down in the zone. Curveball has 11/5 shape with a significant difference in velo from his FB (59-61 mph) as he mixes it in well, keeping hitters off balance. Decker is a skilled 2-way player who has the tools that will make an impact in a variety of ways.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
