08/27/2023 - National Showcase - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Adam is an OF/1B prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add strength throughout. In the OF showed efficient feet with ability to cover ground in all directions. Fields from an athletic fielding position and fields out front. Showed ability to flip his hips and work behind/through the baseball with a clean gather off left foot. Made accurate throws into infield from a high 3/4 arm slot, with momentum towards his target, and arm velocity up to 78mph. At first base he starts with a good pre-pitch routine, with quick feet, and showed athletic movements. Fields from a square fielding position, with ability to pick out hops, and has soft hands. Has a quick release with ability to spin glove side on his throws to second base. Showed footwork around the bag. Scouts agreed that Adam showed better at first base during his workout. At the plate he hits from a tall and closed stance. He keeps his inside the baseball and hits ball where it is pitched. A flat barrel path enables him to hit line drives consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 80mph during BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we see this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

08/03/2023 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament (HS) Adam continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities at the Pro Select Training. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength. At the plate, he shows a square setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard on the field.

02/19/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Adam is a 1B who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with strength present. At 1B, he starts with efficient feet and takes aggressive angles to baseball. Creates good angles glove side, with good glove actions, and fields from a square fielding position. A short arm action into a 3/4 release point with accurate throws to second base with an arm velocity up to 69mph. Showed good footwork around bag. At the plate, he hits from a crouched and even stance. Tracks ball to barrel and takes an aggressive swing. Hit baseballs to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during BP. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Adam having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
