08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Adam is a young, athletic 3B/RHP that will graduate in 2015. Currently, he projects best at 3B for the next level. Feet are active and he works to square balls up showing clean hands. He attacks balls and plays through while presenting soft hands well out front through a low approach. Lateral movement is a plus as he covers ground, displaying range but needs to continue to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he shows a squared setup with balance. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 72-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for with fading action. Control is a solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength is gained through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a hard worker and is very coachable. With 2 years to further develop, Adam has a lot of potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
