Behind the plate, he presents a solid target with an athletic stance and soft hands, making him a reliable receiver. His clean exchange allows for quick, on-line throws to second base, demonstrating both his defensive awareness and arm strength. On the mound, Adam works effectively from the stretch, maintaining a strong, balanced position as he picks up his target. He lands controlled and square to the plate, showcasing good mechanics while delivering a fastball, changeup, and cutter with precision. At the plate, Adam sets up quietly, separates his hands on time, and stays inside the ball, keeping his swing on plane and consistently making contact to the pull side. Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
