08/05/2013 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Adam is a lean, athletic OF that will graduate in 2014. He utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls and works to get behind, playing through well with momentum to his target. He reads balls well off the bat and takes proper first step with defensive grade improving as he improves his foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a balanced setup with rhythm. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a level swing path. Power numbers will continue to improve as he learns to load and use his lower half more. He is patient and displays a solid eye at the plate. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great attitude and plays hard. Adam has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
