01/15/2010 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America - 2010 Adam is a two-way player in the OF plus on the mound with a thin frame that shows projection as he continues to physically mature. Currently, he projects best in the OF for the next level. Defensively, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls with range improving as more foot speed is gained. Throws shows accuracy through a long arm action but lacks carry as he will benefit from a long toss program. Offensively, Ramirez shows a level swing path and line drive approach as he keeps hands through the baseball at contact. Swing path gets long with power numbers improving as he learns to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing and more overall body strength is developed. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 71-74 mph with a slow breaking curve ball. Adam has abilities with a lot of room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
