Adam showed well at 3B and on the mound at the Pre-Season AA. He is a lean, athletic player with soft hands, efficient footwork, and he gets into a good fielding position. Adam fields squarely, plays through, and has an accurate arm across the diamond. On the mound, Adam's FB touched 81 MPH, he works quickly, and hides the ball well. He mixes in his slide step to keep base runners honest, and his CB shows nice 10-4 shape. Offensively, Adam has a simple/aggressive swing, good bat speed, and he makes solid/consistent contact. He hits line drives and works the ball well gap to gap.

Adam is an athletic and talented 2022 2-way prospect that made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. On the bump, Adam gathers over the rubber, has a clean arm swing, and extends thru his release point. He has good tempo and shows command of the fastball down in the zone. He needs to continue to drive the leg toward the plate and improve his pre-game routine in the bullpen. At the hot corner, Adam has a strong arm and makes accurate throws. He needs to work on his prep step, presenting a low/early glove, and his initial read off the bat. At the plate, Adam starts in a tall stance, loads his hands back, and hits off a firm front side. He stays balanced through contact and is aggressive on the fastball. Adam will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14)
Adam is an athletic RHP/3B who has a tremendous future on the diamond. At 3B, feet are active / aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through a low approach. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents well out front. Hands / feet work well together through the fielding process. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with baseball jumping off the bat when centered. Power is best shown to the pull side. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 64-70 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup, showing a feel for pitch with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches, working to get ahead of hitters. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. With 5 years to further develop, Adam has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game, possibly as a two-way guy.
