12/01/2023 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Adam is a 2024 SS who showcased his skills during the BF Academic All-American Tournament. At SS he shows a good pre-pitch routine and plays the game with good energy. Works from right to left as he creates good fielding angles and fields from an on-time fielding position with soft hands out front. Made accurate throws to first base from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 81mph. At the plate he hits from an athletic and even stance with low hands. He shows a simple load and a controlled stride. He shows a strong barrel with some pull side pop. During live game action he made consistent contact and reached base 4 times with a double, a single, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

08/20/2023 - National Showcase - Hartford, CT Adam is an athletic C/2B who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. Pop times showed in the 1.97 range with accuracy / carry (80 mph velocity) on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness (7.36 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Adam has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
