Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • SS/RHPPosition Projection

09/24/2023 - National Showcase - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA Addley is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2028. A young/developing player with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At SS he shows ability to cover ground in all directions and plays under the baseball. Works into an athletic fielding position with good glove actions and hands out front. Shows a good internal clock as he gets rid of the baseball. Made accurate and on-line throws to first base from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 73mph. On the mound he gathers over the rubber, with a clean leg lift, and works down the slope of the mound. He has a controlled landing and gets his chest over his front knee. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 64-66mph with slight tailing action, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup with arm side run that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen session. At the plate he hits from an athletic and square stance. A quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. He keeps his hands inside the baseball as he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 67mph. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee this 2-way prospect making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
