01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Aeneas is a 5ft 11/185 OF/SS in the 2024 class. He recently impressed scouts with his athletic ability at the BF Preseason All American event. In the field, he has plus speed (6.75 runner) and covers his area well with a quick 1st step. He gets around the ball well and achieves a squared fielding position. His pocket has feel and his exchanges are clean. Arm action is a long 3 qtr. slot and he is accurate back to the dirt. At the plate, he shows a simple and repeatable swing. He begins with a solid base and stays square to the dish. Actions are smooth and he stays inside his feet for excellent balance. Path is direct and he works the middle of the field. Sees the ball well and collected 4 BB’s in game action. Overall, scouts love his make-up and feel he can help the right college program next fall.

07/27/2023 - Southwest Championships 17U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Aeneas is an athletic SS in the 2024 class. Defensively, he run exceptionally well with 6.99 speed. He shows active feet and a quick 1st step. Plays low to the ground and fields out in front. Displays strong backhand actions. Can redirect the baseball quickly and uses momentum on his release. Gains a 3qtr slot with fast arm action (87 velo) and is accurate to his targets. At the plate, he shows line drive power to all fields (86-91 exit velo). Has a short stride and stays square to the dish. Balance stays inside his feet and uses a level path for barrel accuracy. Overall, Aeneas has the tools and skills to be a great prospect in the 2024 class.

06/12/2023 - National Showcase - Orange County, CA Aeneas continues show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.82 runner. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork and works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft and presents out front. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

04/16/2023 - National Showcase - Costa Mesa (Los Angeles), CA Aeneas is an athletic SS/OF in the 2024 class. On the dirt, he has active feet and centers his body to the baseball. He gains a squared fielding position and his pocket has feel. His exchanges are clean and gains a short and quick release. Arm strength is on display at 86 velo and his feeds across the diamond are accurate. On the grass, he is quick and can cover ground with 6.89 speed. Has agility and works hard to get behind the baseball. 1st step is excellent and works to stay inside the baseball for advanced routes. Arm action and strength allows him to excel at all three positions. In the batters box, he has a short and compact approach. Sees the ball long and likes to attack the inside part of the baseball. His hands are fast (88 exit velo) and his direct barrel approach generates hard contact. Likes to use the whole field and drive the baseball backside. Overall, there is many things to like about Aeneas’s game and colleges should not sleep on him.

07/20/2022 - Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Aeneas is a class of 2024 SS/OF. He shows off his best skillset covering ground in the outfield. He does a good job keeping his feet active and getting good reads off the bat to help extend his range. Does a good job of playing beneath the baseball and fielding from an athletic position. Creates momentum to throw and throws are on a line into the infield. In the infield, he shows good footwork and the ability to create angles for himself laterally. He continues to show good feet as he works downhill through the baseball. At the plate, this right handed hitter hits from an athletic stance. He does a good job using his legs and staying in his lower ½ to drive the baseball. Shows a good approach that is focused on the middle of the field and is willing to hit the ball to all parts of the field. Aeneas is a good player that will have success as he continues to grow and develop through his high school years.

12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Aeneas continues shine in his baseball abilities at the Academic All-American showcase. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and play through with is body he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and maintains balance.

08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) Aeneas is a coachable 2024 SS/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, he showed a good feel for the game and ability to make routine plays. Has a 2-hand exchange, with a low funnel, and throws from an over-the-top arm slot. Showed good touch on his DP feeds and good footwork around bag on his DP pivots. At the plate, he sets up in up in an even and athletic stance. He hits into a firm front side with good balance at contact. Sprayed balls into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph during BP. During the games, he reached base 4 times with single, 2 walks and a hit by pitch. On the mound, he starts square on the rubber and gets to a good balance point with a relaxed knee lift. He works with good direction toward the plate and has a controlled landing. A 2-pitch pitcher with his fastball sitting 63-64mph and 9/3 shaped breaking ball. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we see Aeneas having a bright future on the baseball field.

07/21/2021 - Baseball Factory Southwest Championships 16U Aeneas continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show in the OF for the first time. At the plate, hitting abilities are now outstanding with well above average power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work through level swing path. He makes consistent hard contact and stays inside the ball through a line drive approach, flashing gap to gap pop. At the event, he was 4 for 8. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls more and play through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 74 mph. Fastball shows a range of 70-74 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

07/12/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Aeneas is a SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Aeneas continues to improve in all facets of his game. Medium frame with some strength present and plenty of room to develop. At SS, showed efficient feet and ability to make routine plays. Works around baseball and fields from a low/square fielding position. Good actions to his back hand side. Short arm action into a 3/4 arm slot, with a recorded arm velocity of 75mph, and made on-line throws. Good touch on his DP feeds. On the mound, gathers over the rubber and keeps eyes on target throughout delivery. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, with ability to repeat his delivery, and a good glove tuck. Flashed a FB that sat 66-68mph with some cut and a 12/6 breaking ball with medium break. Showed good command with both pitches. CB was his best pitch during his bullpen session. A right-handed hitter who hits from an athletic and even stance. Simple swing who tracks bat to ball and good awareness of strike zone. On-plane swing with consistent contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 80mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having the opportunity to play at the next level.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Aeneas continues to shine on the diamond. At the plate, he shows a squared, athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. In the IF, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his quick feet in covering a lot of ground. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 65-67 mph. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Aeneas is a skilled 2-way player who showed well at the All-Region Tournament. He excels with the bat. He displays an athletic setup with centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. He takes an aggressive hack with + bat speed and squares the ball up with strength hitting line-drives. At SS, he has active prep and is aggressive to come and get the GB. He tracks the ball into a soft mitt, gathers well and has a clean transfer to throw. On the mound, this RHP throws a FB & CB from a 3/4 arm slot. He stays directional and repeats well. FB now tops out at 67 mph while showing slight tailing action. Only a 2024 grad - Pichardo has a solid skill-set with upside on the diamond.

07/18/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Aeneas is a solid, athletic SS/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 59-61 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 4 years to further develop, Aeneas has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

12/15/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Thousand Oaks, CA Aeneas is a long 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Aeneas has active feet, good range, and he fields athletically. He has a presentable glove, an aggressive approach, and he throws with consistency and momentum from a long arm action across the diamond. On the mound, Aeneas has good balance, a loose arm circle, and he gets good extension toward home plate. He has good size, works on a downhill plane, and finishes in a complete position. Offensively, Aeneas has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and fast bat speed. He makes hard/level contact, he uses his hips well, and he creates solid leverage on the baseball. All around abilities can continue to improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
