Official Scouting Report

  • 2BPosition Projection

03/26/2023 - National Showcase - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Aidan continues to shine with his baseball abilities on the diamond. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Aiden is a tough and scrappy switch hitting 2B in the 2023 class. Scouts loved his preparation and enthusiasm for the game. In the field, he has a relaxed approach and gains a quick 1st step to generate a solid angle. His hands are sure and he gets to a arm slot on his release. At the plate, he shows amazing pitch recognition and selection. He rarely expands the zone and will work the count. He is very comfortable in his set up and triggers well into his load. Stays balanced and can produce lines drives from both sides of the plate. Overall, Aiden is a talented player and with some work on the defensive side of the bast, he can be a key contributor at the college level.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Aidan is a switch-hitting prospect out of Southern California who brings an advanced hit tool at the plate from both sides with ability to play 2b, 3b and the OF. At the plate Aidan stands out on both sides of the plate with a compact swing and excellent feel for his barrel where he consistently barrels the baseball with backspin on both sides of the plate. He uses a quiet set up with balanced load and his quick hands take over with a line drive approach and some gap power. His offensive ability will play at the college level where he can add length to a college lineup, provide impact on the offensive side all over the lineup. Defensively, he has quick feet and plays with tempo and rhythm to and through the baseball his soft hands and quick transfer allow his arm to play above pure arm strength. He is comfortable throwing from any slot and moves well laterally, downhill and can make the double play turn. He is solid enough to play high school SS, but profiles better at 2b or 3b. With his advanced hit tool and offensive skill set Aidan is a very strong college prospect who still has room to add power to his game as he develops physically.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
