06/22/2012 - California Select Training & Competition Kahana showed as a SS/RHP at the event but currently projects best at SS where he has improved his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Feet are quick / active as he attacks ground balls, plays through well and presents soft / clean hands well out front. Throws are accurate and gets rid of the baseball quickly but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power numbers have improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating plus bat speed through the ball. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a short / direct stroke. At the event, he was 3 for 6 with a 2B. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 73-77 mph with quality breaking ball that displays 11/5 shape with sharp break.
