01/01/2013 - 2013 Baseball Factory Top 100, powered by Under Armour Northeast pitcher with a quick arm that is fresh. Flashes a tight, late breaking ball. Could be a late riser this spring.

08/18/2012 - Under Armour All-America Game AJ is a physical RHP with a strong lower half and very good arm speed. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with some tailing action to a low 90s fastball. He has a somewhat long arm swing on the back side with quickness through release and good finish to his pitches. His slider has late tight break with good tilt and is an effective offering. He uses his change sparingly though he looks to have good feel for it. Overall, AJ has the look of a future power arm.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
