12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Alejandro is a skilled shortstop from Randolph, MA, in the 2025 graduating class who worked hard to refine his abilities at the Baseball Factory Pirate City camp. He starts on the balls of his feet with a quick first step, allowing him to work efficiently from right to left. His accurate throws across the diamond come from a high three-quarter release, and he has an arm velocity that reaches up to 78 mph. Alejandro also posted an impressive 60-yard dash time of 6.89 seconds, showing his speed and agility. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance with high hands, keeping his weight centered between his knees and rotating his core through the baseball. He demonstrates good plate discipline, only offering at pitches in the zone. In live game action, Alejandro reached base three times through walks, highlighting his ability to be patient and get on base. A coachable player who actively asks questions and seeks to improve, Alejandro will continue to develop with another season of growth and hard work.

07/09/2024 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Alejandro is an athletic and talented SS in the 2025 class out of Randolph, MA. He recently impressed scouts at the Cape Cod Experience. In the field, he shows range with 6.89 speed and strong fast twist actions. Can create numerous loose arm slots based upon his defensive zones. Arm has life and accuracy. At the plate, he shows rhythm and strong body control. Showed well at the plate, with 1 base hit and 2 walks. Is an aggressive baserunner (3 SB) and has excellent instincts. He gains great reads and has an understanding of taking the extra 90. Scouts think long term he may end up at 2B or a corner OF, but feel he should stay at SS with his athletic talents.

06/25/2024 - National Showcase - Boston, MA Alejandro is a SS who will graduate in 2025. At SS he creates good angles to his glove side and fields from a square fielding position. Has a low funnel and made on-line throws across the diamond from different arm angles. He hits from an open stance with good rhythm. Gets on-plane as he hit balls to all fields during his round of BP. Alejandro should improve in all phases with continued growth and development.

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Alejandro is a SS who will graduate in 2025. At SS, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. He plays hard with a lot of energy. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 5 1/2 years to further develop, Alejandro has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
