08/21/2021 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (HS) Alfred is an athletic OF prospect who has great food speed and athletic ability. At the dish, this RHH shows a contact hitter type of approach though an athletic setup and quick hands. In the field, Alfred moves light on his feet and is agile tracking down fly balls. He gets into a low position and fields ground balls out in front of his body. His exchange is smooth and he gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. Overall, Alfred is a talented OF prospect who has the skill set to contribute at the next level, especially with his glove and footspeed! (6.78 60 yard dash)

04/25/2021 - All-In Membership - Binghamton, NY Alfred is an OF prospect who will graduate in 2022. In the field, Alfred shows active footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate/on-line throws through his target. Following his throws can help Alfred create more arm velocity. At the plate, this switch hitter sets up in a square stance with center balance. He is smooth to load and works through a direct swing, spraying the ball to all fields. Alfred can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. Overall, Alfred is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
