08/26/2023 - National Showcase - Salt Lake City, UT Ali continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are well above average as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are clean and present out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, power potential is outstanding through an open setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Ali is a 2027 SS prospect that recently showcased his skills at the National World Series. At SS, he gets in a relaxed ready position and shows range to all sides, taking plus angles to the baseball. He does well to get in a low, squared fielding position and presents his hands out in front when fielding. He reads hops well. He has a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target with an arm velocity up to 78mph. At the plate he hits from a a tall and even stance with high hands and gets a squared stride to the baseball. He has a controlled rhythm in the box and a smooth, on-plane swing to the baseball. He shows off plus barrel control and makes consistent contact while doing a nice job of rotating his core. He made hard contact all week with a bat exit velocity up to 79mph. Ali is a prospect that will be exciting to monitor as he continues to develop and get stronger!

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Ali is a talented SS in the 2027 class. He recently impressed scouts with his actions in the field and at the plate. On the dirt, he plays on the balls of his feet and is quick with his 1st step. Gains a low and athletic fielding position and has a relaxed feel. His redirection of the baseball is sure and quick. Has the arm strength (78 velo) to make strong accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, he begins in a squared set-up and his hands look comfortable. He activates his load phase well and hits off a firm front side. He gains extension and generates hard and consistent contact. Overall Ali is a future star on the diamond.

08/08/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - American Fork, UT Ali is a talented SS in the 2027 class. In the field, he has solid range and active feet. Advanced pocket feel on his backhands and gains an athletic fielding position. Solid on his DP feeds and turn and his consistently on the bag with his throws. Working on a quicker transfer and separating in the middle of his body will allow him to stop the green runners. At the plate, he has a balanced set-up and generates hard contact. Is a gap-to-gap type hitter with more in the tank. His stride is short and his timing is smooth. Working on extension will allow his bat to stay in the zone longer as he grows and faces high level pitching. Overall, there is a lot to like about Ali’s game and a must follow prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
