01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Ali continues to shows solid tools in all areas, projecting well at the college level. Arm strength is solid and would benefit by continuing on a strict long toss program to further aid in developing more arm strength and carry on throws. Foot speed also needs to improve through a speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. At the plate, he utilizes all fields as he keeps hands inside the baseball displaying a solid feel for the barrel. Hamed will catch the eyes of the college coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
