01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Anakin is a gifted 6ft 2/195 3B in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts with his skill level at the BF Preseason All American event at IMG Academy. In the field, he shows above average tools. He has active feet (7.31 runner) and gains ground to the baseball. He gets great reads off the bat and creates positive angles. Plays under the baseball and has solid glove presentation. Funnels well and redirects with clean actions. Arm path is short and can use numerous angles based upon his defensive zones. Arm plays with solid carry and accuracy. At the plate, he begins in a squared stance and uses a short and simple stride. His timing is smooth and he stays inside his feet for proper balance. Hands are fast (84 exit velo) and he uses a short and direct barrel path to generate hard contact. Had solid in game at-bats with a 2B, BB and several qualities. Overall, Anakin is a player with a bright future.

10/15/2023 - National Showcase - San Rafael (San Francisco), CA Anakin is a gifted and physical 6ft 2/190 OF/3B in the 2025 class. On the grass, he shows quick feet (7.20 runner) and moves with agility. Takes solid routes from a proper 1st step and works to stay inside the baseball. Gains an athletic fielding position and creates a proper glove lane. Arm is quick (84 velo) and accurate to his targets. On the dirt, he has excellent pre-pitch movements and proper footwork as he begins to attack the baseball. Plays under the baseball and his exchanges are quick. Gains a 3 qtr slot and throws have accuracy and carry across the diamond. At the plate, he generates hard contact at 89 exit velo. Stays balanced and see the baseball well. Produces line drive power to the gaps. Overall, Anakin is a player who plays above grade and scouts love his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
