Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • C/RHPPosition Projection

04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Fairfield (Sacramento), CA Anderson is a strong C/RHP in the 2026 class. Behind the plate, he has active feet and agile movements. He keeps his eyes behind the baseball and the ball sticks in his glove. Registered a 2.38 pop from a short ¾ slot. Working to throw the top of the baseball will assist with his accuracy to the bag. On the mound, he has a quiet motion and maintains his eyes to the target. His FB sat 68 with tailing actions. His CB had 11-5 shape and was in the zone at 54-7. His CH ranged 60-1 and is still developing. At the plate, he proves to be a high contact rate player with an opposite field approach. Has bat speed at 73 and has room to grow.

07/30/2021 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Jackie Robinson Training Complex (MS) Anderson is a C prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame, well-proportioned, athletic build with strength present. Primary C, who looks the part behind the dish. Efficient feet allow him to gain ground towards second and create blocking angles. Quiet actions with ability to beat ball to spot and presents nice target for pitchers to throw to. Clean transfers, with a good arm action into a high 3/4-release point, who creates momentum on his throws. Arm velocity has touched 62mph with a best pop time of 3.06. Right-handed hitter, starts with a square and tall stance. Quiet actions and low effort swing with ability to hit line drives to all fields. Anderson made consistent contact with a bat exit velocity of 61mph. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball field.

03/21/2021 - All-In Membership - San Jose, CA Anderson is a 2026 C/2B. Small frame athletic build with plenty of room to develop and plenty of time to do it. Primary C with an easy sit and low target. Active feet allow him to block and recover well. Ability to beat ball to spot and stick pitches in the zone. Clean transfers into a 3/4 arm slot. Secondary 2B, showed good range with active through the fielding process. Aggressive to balls with accurate and online throws. Showed good touch on DP feeds. Right-handed hitter hits from a square and athletic stance. Short/square stride with good balance allow him to spray balls to all fields. Line drive approach with good extension through contact. Anderson is a young and developing player who will improve with time and repetitions.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
