Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 1B/RHPPosition Projection

01/17/2025 - 2025 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Andrew continues to impress with his baseball abilities on the diamond. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active and displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Andrew is an athletic 1B/RHP who made a strong impression at the All Ripken Games. At first base, he moves smoothly with fluid actions, showing excellent footwork around the bag and reliable receiving skills. His range is expected to improve as he enhances his foot quickness. At the plate, Andrew displays a squared setup with strong hands working through a level swing path, delivering power with strength in his swing. On the mound, his fastball ranges between 55-63 mph, while his breaking ball sits at 44-45 mph with a 10/4 shape. As he continues to build velocity by strengthening his arm through a long toss program and refining his off-speed pitches, his stock on the mound will rise. With significant potential for growth, Andrew has a bright future ahead and plenty of upside in the game.

08/18/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Hartford, CT Andrew is a rising 8th grader who is a 1B/RHP. Gets knob to C and takes a square glide step. Has intent in swing with a good lower half turn. During his round of BP, he hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Andrew making huge strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
