12/27/2014 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic
Andrew showed his best hit and power numbers to date at the Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic. Offensively, he had a good setup and used his lower half to drive the barrel to and through contact. He was coordinated with his hands and hips and showed good feel for a two-strike approach. He rushes himself at times, but quickly makes an adjustment to the next pitch. Defensively, he showed decent rhythm to make plays and he had good bag footwork. Continued work to stay low to field will help promote the glove in front and will assist in making him more fluid as the game speeds up. On the hill, he has a very simple delivery with compact movements that allow for his free arm action to work to the zone. He pitched to contact, changed speeds with a CB, and with more lower half use will increase velocity. All in all - Andrew is a yes sir/no sir type player that competes all the time.

10/07/2012 - College PREP - Spokane, WA
Andrew is a two way player that is a primary first basemen, secondary right handed pitcher. Defensively, Andrew has playable footwork, covers ground, stays square/on the balls of his feet in his fielding position, and is decent with his double play transfers. Increasing his athleticism in his fielding position, presenting his glove earlier, and being more aggressive with his first step, will all increase his overall ability at first base. Offensively, he has a crouch setup, level swing path with good extension through contact, with an up-the-middle contact approach. Increasing fluidity in his load, and softening his stride will help create better rhythm and faster bat speed. On the mound, Andrew throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with long/loose arm action, good balance, with level shoulders, and an ability to stay in-line to the dish with a sound landing. Finding a more consistent release point with his off-speed pitches, and learning to utilize the corners of the plate will help him be a more effective pitcher. With some increased foot speed and agility, Andrew could project as maybe even a second basemen at the next level.
