02/01/2015 - College PREP - Houston, TX Andrew is a 6'5/220 lbs RHP that hits from the left side. On the mound, he spun an 11/5 CB from 63-65, and showed feel for a CH at 68-70. He was mechanically sound, gathered over the rubber, separated on-time, and gave way to free arm action with extension out in front. He is sound with his abilities on the bump and repeats well. Offensively, the lefty showed pull side pop with his aggressive swing and got extended through contact. Staying looser with his upper half and driving more with his lower is essential to his bat speed and pop. In all - Andrew is a very projectable player with a great baseball frame.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
