12/10/2023 - National Showcase - Thousand Oaks, CA Andrew continues show as a top prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.68 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry (87 mph velocity) on his throws. At the plate, hitting / power potential are now outstanding through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. He has strength in his swing with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

09/10/2023 - National Showcase - Thousand Oaks, CA Andrew is a lean OF who is a prospect on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he utilizes his aggressive feet in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness (6.84 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, hitting / power potential are well above average through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing as he transfers weight from backside into a firm front side. With 2 years to further develop, Andrew has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
