01/18/2013 - 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Sharpe posted 1.88 on the low end of his pop time range, good enough to get him inside the top 10 catch and throw guys at this event. His footwork was solid, exchange was clean, and throws had great life and carry through the target. His hands and glove action were solid to receive, he sat well with a strong base and tracked the ball well. To block, he deadened the ball well and recovered quickly and easily to his feet. At the plate, he hit from an open stance and squared up well with his stride. Hands worked back to a solid position, from where he was able to generate standout bat speed. Path was level, and he maintained good balance through the move. He drove the ball with authority from gap to gap, especially when he fully rotated his core. On the mound, he showed a low 80s fastball to go with an upper 60s breaking ball and mid 70s change. His delivery was balanced, direction was good, and landing was sound. He lacked extension out front with his arm action, and struggled to consistently find the zone. His future certainly appears to be behind the plate, where he is a talented catch and throw guy with power potential.
