12/28/2019 - Accelerated College PREP - Pittsburgh, PA Andrew is a LHP/OF prospect who will graduate in 2022. On the mound, Andrew gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through his release, staying inline towards the plate. Andrew shows a four pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 77mph with arm side run. Curveball sits from 63-64mph with sharp 1-7 break. Slider sits from 64-65mph with good movement. Changeup sits from 62-64mph with arm side run. In the OF, Andrew shows quick footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate with carry through his target. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth getting into his load and takes a level swing. He generates fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid contact to his pull side. Overall, Andrew is a talented prospect who should find success going into his sophomore season.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
