07/16/2017 - College PREP - Washington, DC Anthony in a lean 3B who will graduate in 2020. At the plate is where he shows best through a squared / athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive approach. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up. Glove action is soft / sure and he presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Anthony has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
