08/18/2024 - National Showcase - Oak Creek (Milwaukee), WI Anthony is a young and developing C/OF who will graduate high school in 2029. Tall frame lean build with room to grow. Behind the plate he shows active feet and tracks ball to mitt. He works his thumb under the baseball keeping balls in the strike zone. He made accurate throws to second base with a quick release and a best pop time of 2.4 seconds. In the outfield he works to keep the ball in front of him and runs good routes to baseball. Works behind the ball with a smooth crow hop and he follows through on his throws into infield. He starts in a crouched stance and quiet head. Showa a middle of the field approach as he hit balls to all fields during his round of BP. Anthony has 5 years to continue his development and growth on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
