03/22/2015 - College PREP - Brentwood (Long Island), NY Anthony is a tall, strong backstop with a bright future. Defensively, he showed a good, mobile body with explosive blocking actions. His pop time was 2.44-2.63 and can easily improve by staying low through the throw, and having a smoother exchange. He can also improve by keeping his arm slot higher, promoting carry. As a RHH, Anthony again showed well. He has an open stance, good balance, a smooth stride/load and strong, consistent pull side swing. Overall - Anthony shows great potential with his body type and athletic actions.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
