05/20/2012 - College PREP - Mesa (Phoenix), AZ Anthony is an OF who will graduate in 2014. Defensively, Anthony displays good range with solid routes/angles to the ball. His footwork is playable and he is aggressive, attacking balls. Grades will improve by working behind and through the ball on his throws, staying in line with his target to improve carry. At the plate, he displays a good athletic setup and stance. He shows a good load getting his hands back but can work on keeping his body centered. Hitting grades will continue to improve with an aggressive approach attacking the ball and letting it travel. With two years to further develop, Anthony shows abilities with room to still improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
