07/08/2013 - Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One West Anthony continues to show solid abilities behind and at the plate. Feet are active / athletic as he works in line to his target, through a quick transfer / exchange as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. Pop times were in the low 2.05 range with accuracy / carry on his throws. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, flashing bat speed through a short / direct path and create extension. Barrel accuracy is a plus with the baseball jumping off the bat when centered.

12/18/2011 - College PREP - Agoura Hills, CA Anthony is a dual position guy, spending time behind the plate and at third. Behind the plate he is quick to his knees on balls in the dirt and quick feet when throwing to second. His abilities as a catcher should continue to develop as he learns to square up his stance. In the infield, he gets good glove extension and uses his legs well, but needs to create better angles to balls in the hole. At the plate, he has good bat speed and the ball has good life off his barrel, but he needs to stay back and keep his hips from sliding. As a 2015 graduate, Anthony has the opportunity to continue in developing his tools in preparation for the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
