10/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Columbia, MD Anthony is an athletic RHP who graduate in 2023. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 70-71 mph. Breaking ball shows 10/4 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 2 years to further develop, Anthony has potential with time and room to progress his game.

10/13/2019 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Anthony is a lean RHP who will graduate 2023. Delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 63-65 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 4 years to further develop, Anthony has potential with time and room to progress his game.

10/13/2018 - College Recruiting Day - Columbia, MD Anthony is a RHP prospect who will graduate in 2023. On the mound, Anthony gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline towards the plate. Anthony shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 51mph. Breaking ball sits from 40-41mph. Changeup sits from 39-42mph. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He works into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half, leading to solid contact. Overall abilities can improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
