04/30/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Armand is an OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.83 seconds. In the OF, good first step reads enables him to cover ground in all directions and make routine plays. Showed good lateral range as he works behind/through the baseball with a high 1-hand catch. Made accurate throws through his cutoff man with an arm velocity up to 81mph. At the plate, he hits from an upright and open stance. Hits into a firm front side and is centered at contact. Showed good bat to ball skills. He hit line drives consistently into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Armand having opportunities to play at the next level.

07/21/2022 - Baseball Factory National World Series at IMG Academy - Session 2 (HS) Armand is a tall and lean OF/1B in the 2025 class out of Sachse, TX. In the field, he plays on the balls of his feet and his feet are quick. He works behind the baseball and has a solid 1st step. He uses an over-the-top release to make strong and accurate feeds back to the dirt. At the plate, he tracks the ball well and has a good feel for his swing path. Is controlled in his set-up and load and stays balanced between his feet. Working to stay connected with his lower half will generate more drive through the baseball for additional power. Overall, there is a lot to like about Armand’s game and scouts feel with some added strength, he can blossom into a fine prospect.

01/30/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plano (DFW), TX Armand is a solid OF/RHP prospect in the 2025 class. He has a projectable frame for his age with room to fill out. At the plate, he does a great job of activating his lower half and hitting against a firm front side to drive the baseball. A good load and simple rhythm help him find the barrel consistently. Has the ability to drive the baseball deep into the gaps and potential to hit for power. In the outfield, he uses a good first step to help assist in taking good routes to the baseball. Gets good reads on balls hit to all directions. Catches fly balls high above eyes. Throws are very accurate with good carry. On the mound, he does a good job of keeping his eyes on the target. Has the ability to change speeds with any of his pitches. Can throw his 11-5 shaped curveball for strikes often. Has very good direction as he works down the mound. Armand is a talented young prospect with a bright future.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
