08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) Arnav continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 7 with a 2B. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 74 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable, works hard, and loves to play the game.

07/19/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Houston, TX Arnav is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2022. Tall frame, with thick lower, athletic build strength present and plenty of room to develop. At SS, good pre-pitch routine and ability to pick out hops. Tracks to glove and ability to make routine plays. Keeps eyes behind glove on balls to his back hand side. Short arm action into a low 3/4 arm slot with a recorded arm velocity of 65mph. On the mound, gathers over the rubber and keeps eyes on target throughout delivery. Body works fast and plant foot lands flush to plate. Throws a FB that sat 61-63mph, a 10/4 breaking ball with good depth in zone, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed and some tailing action. Showed good command with all 3 pitches. CB was his best pitch during his bullpen session. A right-handed hitter who hits from an athletic and open stance. High hand set, with a square stride, and a good bat angle at contact. Direct barrel path, with hard contact to the pull side, and a bat exit velocity of 75mph. With another year growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
