Defensively, he starts with active feet and soft hands, fielding from a square position. His ability to pick hops with a low funnel demonstrates his skill in handling various ground balls, complemented by a loose arm stroke and quick release for accurate throws. On the mound, he exhibits a solid hip coil and breaks his hands on time, achieving a controlled landing that allows him to repeat his delivery effectively. He challenges hitters with a fastball topping out at 63 mph, a curveball that features good depth, and a changeup with sinking action. At the plate, he keeps his head still while tracking the ball, showcasing his ability to deliver the barrel and make consistent contact to all fields. Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
