06/27/2010 - Team One South 2010 Austin is tall, lean, athletic, RHP with good stuff on the hill. He has a FB that touches 86 MPH, what has some A/S run to it. Austin is an aggressive Pitcher who pounds the strike zone early and often. He is inline and ontime, and he works the ball on the corners. Austin changes speeds well, and has a very nice, 11/5 curve. Added arm strength, and not falling off to the 1st base side should help abilities on the mound further improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
