08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Austin Justis is a SS/2B prospect that recently played at the All-Ripken Games. On the mound he has really good mechanics the only thing missing at this point is velocity and that'll come with strength. But he's well balanced he's under control and he lights up the strikes on and those are all traits you definitely want from your pitchers. Defensively he is extremely athletic and well advanced for his age as his actions are stellar. In fact, he made a backhand play at second base that people are still talking about. He complimented his shore hands and phenomenal range with a deadly accurate arm. At the plate he is a contact guy. The only suggestion is that he gets stronger with his hands sit on his slowing a little more and improve his bat speed. He was able to get a single to write and again he put the ball in play often. There is a tremendous upside for this kid so coaches should definitely keep an eye on him.
