10/17/2010 - College PREP - Bellevue (Seattle), WA Austin showed some improvements in his game during his most recent workout in Seattle, WA. He lowered his 60 time from 7.22 to 6.9, and increased his radar velocity from 71 to 73 MPH. In the OF, Austin takes decent routes to the ball, he tracks it well, and makes plays. He squares his body well to his target, he plays through the ball, and has a clean exchange. Austin has a long arm action, average arm strength, and throws with some accuracy to his target. Austin can improve his defensive skills with better footwork and and more sure hands. Offensively, Austin has a square set-up, short stride, and good balance. He has average bat speed, he tracks the ball well, and he shows some pop in his bat. Austin can spray the ball to all fields, and if he can loosen his grip and quicken his bat, we could see a spike in offensive numbers.
