Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic with Video Showcase (HS - East) Avery is an outfielder who will be graduating in the class of 2023. He has a medium build with plenty to room to fill out as he continues to mature. In the outfield, he shows a good ability to stay athletic and keep his feet active during his pre pitch routine. He does a good job of getting behind the baseball and working through it to throw. He shows good instincts and gets very good reads off the bat. At the plate, he continues to show his feel for the game and willingness to help the team succeed. Shows great strike zone awareness, walking 3 times throughout the weekend along with other at bats that went deep into the count. He sets up in an even and athletic stance with loose hands before showing a simple and repeatable load/stride. Does a good job tracking the ball deep into his barrel and stays in the middle of the field. Top of the order type of guy who plays the game with velocity. Avery is great kid and arguably even better teammate who had high praises from all coaches, with this attitude and continued development he should be able to play at the next level.

11/28/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Katy (Houston), TX AJ is an athletic OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, AJ shows fluid footwork and is agile covering ground. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws to his target. Continuing a long toss program can help AJ build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with center balance. He shows smooth rhythm and leads well with his lower half. He works through a direct swing and sprays the ball to all fields. AJ can create more consistent contact by taking a more square stride. Overall, AJ is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/18/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX AJ is an OF prospect who will graduate in 2023. In the field, AJ shows active footwork and gets into a low position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange. He gains ground well on his throws and works to keep them accurate to his target. Long tossing can help AJ build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance with center balance. He is fluid to load and drives through well with his lower half. He stays inside the ball and uses the entire field well. AJ can barrel up more baseballs by working through a more level swing path. Overall, AJ is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
