12/10/2021 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Bailey is a 2023 prospect out of Aldie, VA who continues to show improvements his baseball abilities at the Academic All-American showcase. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active and play through it as he attacks balls. Glove action is clean and presents out front. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Bailey as he enters his junior baseball season.

06/21/2021 - All-In Membership - Frederick, MD Bailey is a RHP/SS who will graduate in 2023. Athletic build with strength present and frame to add more strength. At SS, active feet, with a good prep step, allow him to create good fielding angles in all directions. Ability to pick out hops and fields the ball out front. Shows ability to throw from multiple arm slots with accurate/on-line throws across the diamond and an arm velocity of 80mph. Holds his line on slow rollers. A right-handed pitcher, who works exclusively from the stretch and has good feel for pitching. A over-the-top release point while keeping his eyes on the target throughout his delivery. Ability to throw 3 pitches with 3 different speeds. Pounds the zone with his FB that sat 74-76mph. Mixed in a 12/6 breaking ball that had good depth through the zone and is a swing and miss pitch. Throws a developing CH with FB arm speed and slight movement. CB was his best pitch during his bullpen. A right-handed hitter begins with a square and athletic stance. Tracks pitches well with good plate discipline. Short stride, with good balance at contact, and ability to hit balls to all fields. Made solid contact with a bat exit velocity of 70mph during his round of BP. As he continues to mature and develop, we foresee Bailey having a bright future on the baseball field.

11/22/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Bailey is a R/R, 2-way player (SS/RHP) who graduates in 2023. Defensively at SS, he has quick/active prep and moves well on the balls of his feet, reading the ball off of the bat well. He presents his glove, gets into a low/athletic fielding position and gathers smoothly. He has + lateral actions and can make the tough play to his right and left. As a hitter, Hill shows an open stance with centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. He tracks pitches into the zone and off of his barrel, squaring it up and hitting line-drives. On the mound, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix (FB. CB, CH) coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He drives downhill off of the rubber, fires from a quick arm action and works the zone to both sides of the plate. FB tops out at 74 mph as he throws it for strikes. Curveball shows to be his best off-speed pitch with 10/4 shape and tight spin. Changeup has some cutting action - 65-66 mph. Only a 2023 grad - Bailey has a solid all-around skill-set with upside and time to progress.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
