01/16/2015 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Bailey is a 1B/RHP'er that graduates in 2018. In the box, he hits with a balanced setup and drives the barrel through on a level path. He has decent timing, but will benefit from allowing the ball to travel and hitting it where it is pitched. On the bump, Bailey does a good job of working the ball downhill after getting to a solid contact point. He separates on time and has shows good direction towards the plate. In order to improve in the future, Bailey needs to work on finishing his pitches better and extending his stride to unlock more velocity. At 1B, Bailey displays good range to his glove side, has good footwork around the bag and gets rid of the ball quickly on double play feeds. The implementation of a structured long toss program will increase his arm strength. Overall, with 3 more years to continue to improve his game, Bailey looks to have a bright future.
