07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (HS)
Ben continues to shine with his baseball abilities on the diamond. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind ball and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-78 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is a great teammate and is very coachable on the field.
12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2
Ben continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. In the OF, he displays smooth fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (80 mph velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn as he maintains good balance. At the event, he was 3 for 4. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 77 mph. Fastball showed a range of 75-77 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with sharp break. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound.
07/17/2022 - Baseball Factory Los Angeles All Star Experience (Ages 14-18)
Ben continues to show improvements on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive swing path. Lower half works well through an aggressive hip turn. At the event, he was 2 for 4. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 73 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
11/11/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona
Ben is an OF/RHP that graduates in the class of 2025 and showcased his talents at the Baseball Factory Select Training and Competition. In the OF, he looked very comfortable. He showed a good first step and good/ aggressive angles towards the ball. He has a low fielding position as he fields the ball out front of his body, while working behind the ball well. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm action and has good accuracy on his throws. On the mound, the right-handed pitcher attacked hitters while maintaining good poise. He showcased a FB that was up to 69mph that had some run to it as well. Ben had a curveball with a 10/4 shape that he was able to throw for a strike in all counts. In the game he allowed just 1 run in 3 innings of work. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had a tall/ open stance with a low hand slot. He had an active load and had great balance at the plate. He proved ability to be able to hit the ball to all fields in live game, reaching base twice with a single and a walk. Ben stole several bases and was a threat on the base paths. As Ben continues to grow and develop, we see him continuing to take big strides on the baseball field.

Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on changeup with sink. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength.
Baseball Factory Denver All-Star Experience (Ages 14-18)
Ben is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame lean build with strength present and plenty of room to develop. In the OF, good reads off the bat and a good pre-pitch routine enables him to take good routes to balls. Athletic fielding position with ability to make routine plays. Accurate throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity of 69mph into the infield. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher works down the mound with good tempo. Good direction towards the plate and ability to throw strikes. Mixes speeds and showed he isn't afraid to throw inside to hitters. Sets hitters up with a FB that was up to 67mph and a breaking ball with 10/4 shape and tight spin. In 2 innings of work, Ben stuck out 5 hitters and showed ability to control the run game. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an upright and even stance. Showed ability to make contact to all fields with a bat exit velocity of 63mph. Had 2 singles and 2 base on balls in live game action. As he continues to develop and mature, we see him having a bright future on the baseball field.

Ben is a lean OF who will graduate in 2025. In the OF, he displays smooth actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At the event, he was 2 for 5. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 5 years to further develop, Ben has potential with time and room to progress his game.
