Defensively, he has plus actions and sure hands. Arm works at 57 and can be used at any position on the field (C pop 2.65). He is a strong framer behind the dish and has athletic feel on his blocking. At the plated, he collected 4 hits and a walk in game action. Has great bat speed at 73 exit velo and is an excellent baserunner. Overall, Ben has a high baseball IQ and understands the game very well.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
