02/22/2013 - Yankees Spring Training Experience (Ages 14-18) Comas has raw ability to work with, both with the bat and on the mound. At the plate, the ball jumps off his bat thanks to natural strength and speed through the zone. His move is simple, without many moving parts and he is able to drive the ball with little more than his hands and arms at this time. Can work to improve his rhythm to hit, needs to get weight and hands back before they move forward to contact. Rotation of core will help extension through contact, and will unlock his power potential. On the mound, his arm worked well from the glove and out front. He topped at 79 this outing, but struggled with his control due to lack of direction. Tended to land open wit his stride leg after rushing out of his balance point. With work to keep upper and lower halves connected and better aligned to the target, he has potential to find the strike zone with a lot more consistency.
