02/19/2022 - All-In Membership - Marlborough (Boston), MA Benjamin is an athletic 2B/OF who will graduate in 2024. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are clean and presents out front. In the OF, he displays smooth/fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls but needs through with momentum to his target. He moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness (7.22 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Benjamin has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
