08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Benjamin Gannon is a C/3B that recently played at the All-Ripken Games. On the mound he had great command over his fastball which was clocked at 57 mph. He showed great balance and coordination throughout his delivery. Defensively he proved to be extremely athletic and had very good hands. He complimented those assets with incredible arm strength and accuracy. At the plate he made loud hard contact in the form of a double and a line out to second base. He was also able to draw a walk as he has a good feel for the strike zone. His speed was evident when he stole a base. Overall, he is a solid ball player that will definitely be on coach's radars.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
