09/18/2024 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic (2026) Benjamin Rubocki is a talented 2B/RHP who recently made his mark at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. On the mound, he showcased impressive command of all three pitches, with a fastball clocked at 73 mph, complemented by a 64 mph curveball and a 62 mph change-up. His standout performance in his first outing, where he pitched five hitless innings and struck out seven batters, demonstrated that he can be highly effective through confidence and precision, even as he works on increasing his velocity. Defensively, Benjamin's accuracy at second base is a significant strength. To elevate his game further, he should focus on keeping his feet active and confidently working through the baseball. He possesses excellent hands and will benefit from trusting them more, as he sometimes displayed a bit of timidity when fielding. At the plate, Benjamin showed promise with his power, highlighted by a long double in his first at-bat. One of his most impressive swings of the week was a solid line-out to center field, showcasing his ability to make hard, loud contact. Overall, he is a solid ballplayer with a bright future ahead!

05/21/2023 - National Showcase - Boise, ID Benjamin is a RHP/2B prospect who will graduate in 2026. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. On the mound he works with good tempo and gets his chest to his glove. He attacks hitters with a FB that sat 68-70mph with good command, a 10/4 shaped breaking ball, and a changeup that he throws with FB arm speed. At 2B he starts with a good pre-pitch routine and has quick feet. He works to center the baseball and fields from a low fielding position. He made accurate throws to first base from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 76mph. Showed good touch on his DP flip and follows. A right-handed hitter he hits from an athletic and open stance. A lower half driven swing who gets a good hip turn and is centered at contact. He keeps his hands inside the baseball as he hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 76mph during his round of BP. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Connor making huge strides on the baseball field.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Benjamin is a 2026 2B who showcased his skills during the BF Rookie PSAA Tournament. At SS, he works to center the baseball and showed ability to make routine plays. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 71mph. At the plate, he sets up in an athletic and open stance with comfortable hands. He hits into a firm frontside and rotates to contact point. Hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 74mph during his round of BP. During the games, Benjamin proved to be a tough out as he reached base 5 times with 3 singles, and 2 base on balls. Overall, Benjamin is a solid player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
