Foot speed is average as indicated by his 7.49 60 time as he will benefit by getting on a speed / agility program to improve foot quickness for the next level. Feet are active and aggressive in coming to get, playing through the baseball with his feet / hands. He shows proper footwork around the bag with solid glove action as he shows the ability to pick balls out of the dirt, displaying near above average defensive abilities at 1B. Arm strength is slightly above average as he must get on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength, raising velocities. At the plate, Frydman has solid average abilities with slightly above average power through a balanced setup. Hands are quick and direct, flashing bat speed with power numbers improving as he learns to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 76-78 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball is best off speed pitch displaying downward tilt with gradual break. Changeup is solid average showing a feel for with cutting action. He attacks hitters as he throws strikes with all his pitches. With 2 years to further develop, Benji has potential, getting looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve, possibly as a two-way guy.
