06/08/2008 - College PREP - Dublin (Columbus), OH Bill showed slightly above avg. tools in all capacities. At the plate he showed good barrel accuracy in a line drive approach. He will benefit from some pre-pitch hand load to improve rhythm. In the INF, he showed a quick first step in an aggressive approach to the baseball. His arm will play better if he can learn to get on top more. He will also continue to improve by getting to a more athletic base when hitting and fielding.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
