09/25/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Blake is a solid OF/RHP in the 2024 class. In the field, In the field, scouts were impressed with his strong accurate arm (84 velo). With his 6.81 speed, they feel he can play all three spots and be a plus defender. He takes great routes, displays agile movements and plays low to the ground. On the mound, his lean frame projects a bright future on the mound. His CH sat 64-8 with sink and FB arm speed. As a hitter, he creates line drive contact by using a short and direct barrel path. Swing is compact and hands are fast through the zone. Working to stay in his legs more and locking in his front side, will prevent head movement and drifting actions. Overall, the sky is the limit for this athletic and talented two-way prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
