01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Blaze is an athletic RHP who is a top prospect on the mound. Delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Arm strength is excellent as indicated by his top velocity of 87 mph. Fastball shows a range of 84-87 mph with cutting action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with late break and tight spin. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches, working both sides of the plate. He shows good mound presence and competes on the bump. Blaze has an upside on the bump and will get looks from the college coaches his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
